Assistant Service Manager Overview
Our Assistant Service Managers (ASMs) bear ultimate responsibility for the quality of our repair work and the satisfaction of clients. They operate in a very challenging, fast-paced environment that is constantly changing. The position requires them to act as liaisons between Park Place clients and service technicians, coordinators between the call center and clients, and workload organizers to ensure service work is evenly distributed among technicians.
Successful ASMs are very organized and tech savvy, and possess exceptional computer, phone, and communication skills. Politely greeting clients, understanding their needs, collecting proper information for a diagnosis, keeping them informed of their vehicle's status, and being able to properly explain repair orders are paramount. A focus on image and appearance is also critical, due to extensive client interaction. Above all, ASMs have to remain composed in stressful situations and maintain a positive attitude in their dealings with clients and other service team members.
Candidates interested in an automotive assistant service manager position should have a high school diploma or equivalent or one to three years' related experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Service Valet Overview
Our Service Valets play a critical role in our service departments. They are often the first point of contact for service clients and help form the initial impression of Park Place in clients' minds. A well-kept appearance and a positive attitude are vital. Our valets are expected to park and retrieve service clients' cars in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner. They work in a high-energy, fast-paced outdoor environment, and must make our clients' satisfaction their number one priority.
Successful service valets have solid communication skills and a strong work ethic, are handy with tools, and are in good physical condition.
Candidates interested in a valet job must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid operator's driver's license, and be insurable. No prior experience is required.
Sales Overview
Our Sales Consultants are the backbone of Park Place Dealerships. They are often the first point of contact for prospects, so their appearance, presentation, and communication skills help form clients' initial impression of the organization. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful are all terms commonly associated with our sales team.
Individuals who succeed in sales positions at Park Place also possess strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills that help them nurture repeat business and referrals. They have effective computer and phone skills and are tech savvy, in keeping with the rest of the organization and the luxury vehicles we sell. They're organized, process-oriented, and focused on their goal: ensuring an extraordinary purchase experience for clients that will translate into loyal brand advocates for Park Place.
Candidates interested in an automotive sales career should have a college degree or one to two years' related experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technician Overview
At Park Place, our Automotive Service Technicians play a vital role in the organization's success. The quality of the diagnostic and repair work, and the accuracy and efficiency with which it is done, are a direct reflection of the entire Park Place dealership group. Performing these duties with integrity and high ethical standards is equally important, and will help ensure an extraordinary client experience - resulting in more loyal Park Place client advocates.
Other qualities of someone looking for a successful auto career as a Park Place service technician include excellent reasoning skills, and an understanding of vehicles in order to rapidly and precisely identify problems. Candidates should have a combination of formal automotive technician training and hands-on experience, along with a working knowledge of electronics, an understanding of mathematics, and strong problem-solving abilities.
Our technician jobs also require "people" skills and a genuine desire to service clients. A positive attitude and willingness to be a team member are essential for being part of Park Place. Formal training, manufacturer certification, and ongoing education are also required, in order to keep up with technological advancements so Park Place can offer the level of service its clients demand.
